Reporting for ASA Duty!
It's almost been a year, and I'm happy to report that since returning to SF; I've helped as Americans for Safe Access ASA community liaison and SF chapter leader to organize last SF Obama protest, and press conference in October after federal crackdown on medical cannabis heated back up. I also helped organize successful rally in Sacramento at federal building in November, helping to coordinate bus from SF, and lead march around federal building. We were able to get almost every candidate for Mayor and DA of SF to come speak at chapter meetings. We held a successful fundraiser, then donated a portion to ASA national. With those funds raised we bought video camcorder to record meetings and events, see here: http://www.youtube.com/user/SFSafeAccessMedia We are planning some major actions during medical marijuana week: http://www.facebook.com/events/329798233731311/ We hope the upcoming Obama rally will be especially impactful!
We have been working hard to do more outreach and make ASA SF as inclusive as possible and be the most effective tool in fight for safe access in SF. Anyone is welcome to join our chapters efforts anytime. www.sfsafeaccess.org
I've been all over San Francisco, Maryland and even DC providing latest info concerning our community. I'm proud to say I've been a dedicated ASA activist for 10 years now!
Good job, Tony keep it up.
