Celebrate the life of Robyn Few

Last night I gathered with a group of friends I met through ASA to celebrate the life of Robyn Few, ASA organizer, Sex Worker, Mother and Mentor. She was more than a beacon of light for me, she was a burning torch. When I first arrived in SF I didn't know anyone. I found out through the internet about the federal trial of Ed Rosenthal, a medical marijuana grower. It was there at the federal courthouse that I saw Robyn for the first time on her bullhorn letting out a battle cry like I've never heard before, and a giant banner exclaiming "The Government Is Lying."  Being around Robyn was like being in a movie. I felt like my life had meaning and purpose. So I became a medical cannabis advocate, and my involvement as a plaintiff in the landmark CHP case, only cemented my place in the community as an advocate. I remember Robyn saying to me and a group of ASA Members that we are the future leaders of this movement. It was good to see these dear friends again, since we've all been scattered in the wind. While our lives have taking us in different directions, our memories of each other always remain fond, and our love for each other will last from infinity and beyond. With this group of friends I always feel like I belong.
