Let's Rejoice!

I hope all is bright and filled with love and cheer this time of year. Let's rejoice. I'm personally grateful to be here and for this past year. I'm looking forward to this coming year 2013 as well. I believe we are going to make great strides as a people towards peace and torwards cleaning up our environment and ensuring justice for all.

While the year has been filled with tragedy, it has also been filled with triunph and I am filled with hope for the future. Scientists have predicted war will be all but over within 40 years. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2237378/Peace-time-Scientist-makes-bold-prediction-war-wane-halve-40-years.html) Americans have installed a record number of solar panels (http://inhabitat.com/americans-installed-a-record-number-of-rooftop-solar-panels-this-year/) and soon, with mounted pressure, we will defeat Keystone Tarsands Pipeline and fossil fuels will be a thing of the past. Medical marijuana finally had it's day in court with the ASA v. DEA hearing in Washington DC this past year. Finally the latest most up to date evidence and research was shown to a panel of judges and hopefully a decision favorable to us will be handed down soon. (http://safeaccessnow.org/blog/blog/2012/10/17/dc-circuit-orders-supplemental-briefing-in-federal-landmark-medical-marijuana-case/) ASA has a national medical marijuana conference coming up February 22nd in Washington DC, (http://safeaccessnow.org/nationalconference2013) there will be a lobby day, plus training and workshops will be included.

18 states plus Washington DC have medical marijuana laws. Polls show 80 percent of the population support medical marijuana consistently. Colorado and Washington have become the first state to legalize marijuana. The future looks bright, so go ahead, celebrate and enjoy your holidaze! ;)-~
