In my opinion cannabis helps us take our time and make well thought through decisions. Decisions or actions taken in hast we usually regret. Cannabis helps me feel calm and focused, not overly excited and less prone to being easily convinced to do something meaningless or that I'm not passionate about.
We are conditioned that we should be motivated about certain things, like go to school, get a job and contribute to society, but with all the information being bombarded at us it can be confusing to choose a direction and makes it hard to know we are doing right thing. Especially when people with excellent degrees, and experience are having a hard time finding meaningful employment. There is an overall favorability rating for Congress of 6%, and our countries infrastructure is crumbling; its appalling that we still celebrate sports figures and demonizing teachers and scientists, while our status in the world as number one plummets and our environment becomes more polluted. The only thing we are still number one at is our military prowess.
We need to have a serious debate in this country about what is important. Viewing success as beating out or earning more money and having more material wealth than others or taking care of each other, making sure we do business in a fair, just, sustainable and humane way, that doesn't pollute and create a toxic environment. What if the role cannabis plays in the release and regulation of dopamine is actually a good thing? Helping us to chill out before rushing to judgment. I do know one thing for sure, Marijuana Is Medicine and our government needs to stop blocking research into the positive medical benefits of it. End the NIDA DEA Monopoly on research of medical cannabis! Reclassify Cannabis Now!!!
