100 Grand Action

I recently visited the office of Senator Barbara Boxer to drop off 100 Grand postcard as part of ASA's Peace for Patients campaign. (http://peace4patients.org/) While we were met with locked doors when we arrived, we didn't let that stop us. We rang the intercom and requested someone come out to greet us. They then asked us to slip the info under door, but we were persistent and insisted someone come out so we could hand off campaign info. The gentleman that answered said it was a recent decision to close and lock their door. We explained we were members of Americans for Safe Access carrying out a national action to shed light on the fact that the DOJ spends over a hundred thousand dollars everyday on medical marijuana enforcement. We requested a meeting with the Senator or staffer to discuss this matter. He said someone would get back to us. I said, if not they're going to be hearing from us. #peace4patients #safeaccess #mmj
