I support cannabis patients and consumers moving forward

I welcome any and all efforts to reform marijuana laws just as long as they are sensible, and don't make it too restrictive for consumers and especially patients in need.

It's likely there will be multiple initiatives competing in 2016. There's the California Cannabis Hemp Initiative 2016 CCHI (http://californiacannabiscoalition.org/wp/sample-page/) and MPP has announced their efforts, see here http://mashable.com/2014/09/24/california-marijuana-legalization-effort/?utm_campaign=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_cid=Mash-Prod-RSS-Feedburner-All-Partial&utm_medium=feed&utm_source=rss

No less than four pro-weed groups who tried and failed to get on the ballot this year are refocusing, preparing to gather the 504,760 valid signatures each needs to place its version on the 2016 ballot. And there will be at least half a dozen medical cannabis related bills pushed at the state level next year.

On top of all that, there are still 12 different voter initiatives on the ballot in 10 different cities and counties in California this year.

We’ll be discussing them a lot in October, in preparation for the vote on November 4.  Thursday, October 16, 2014 – Medical Cannabis in CA: Local Measures & the November Election (Online)

We all have our work cut out for us. Trudging our way through the murky waters of policy making is never easy, but I pledge to always be on the side of patients and consumers over big business.
