California Governor Wants The State's Marijuana Farmers To 'Legally Supply The Rest Of The Nation'

"We have so much more work to do, not just here in the state but also at the federal level - to move forward with decriminalization, to end federal prohibition, and to also allow our farmers to legally supply the rest of the nation. That's critical."

While I understand why the Illicit or illegal market still exists, I for one will keep on working in advocating to improve laws and making sure that it's all inclusive for legacy and equity operators plus compassion allowed. I will be attending ASA's conference and lobby day in December we will be demanding medical cannabis legislation is passed and one of things is will be covered by people's insurance, but one of the main things that must be allowed is personal cultivation. There are many states that still do not allow this such as Florida. If we all grow for each other that would be awesome.

If we pass Federal legislation, we can get insurance to covered. And if everybody can grow their own in every state and provide compassion then we can more easily take care of each other.

We have made lots of progress this year at state level passing legislation that prevents employment discrimination against cannabis users making sure pain patients can't be denied treatment by their doctors for cannabis and ensuring that cannabis delivery is allowed in every jurisdiction within the state.

I definitely don't think things are perfect, and I am not happy with the status quo, but I will keep on fighting to expand safe access and make more affordable.

At least DEA raids aren't happening everyday anymore. The battle continues!!
