Terpene Tour Guide

As people seek out cannabis experiences more and more it's important they have a reliable resource to turn to.

I have been involved in the cannabis industry for 20+ years, a long-time patient advocate and organizer with Americans for Safe Access (ASA). I have also been in Coffee, and Tourism for 20 years. I have Been trained by and worked with some of the best in all 3 industries.

Allow me to take you on a sensory journey.

Imagine waking up and making your first cup of coffee that scent and taste that immediately invigorates you, even before the caffeine kicks in.

The first wake and bake joint of the morning to get your head right.

The scent of the flowers and other plants blowing in the morning breeze as you walk out to your car to head to work.

The thing is three experiences have in common are terpenes.

Terpenes infuse almost all our experiences.

Terpenes are like spices. Spices and herbs actually have terpenes and so do most plants in nature including cannabis.

Terpenes, also known as terpenoids are aromatic compounds found in many plants, though many people commonly associate them with cannabis because cannabis plants contain high concentrations of them. These aromatic compounds create the characteristic scent of many plants, such as cannabis, pine, and lavender, as well as fresh orange peel.

Terpenes are one of the main elements that provide flavor and aroma.

They activate our senses and can make us feel a certain way, such as more active and alert or sedate and chill, all depending on the terpene. They can also make us recall moments throughout our lives.

There are about 400 known terpenes in cannabis, but experts have only linked a handful of them to specific effects.

Terpenes have the ability to take you away on a journey to another place maybe back in time or a far of land the invite find memories

The important thing about cannabis to me is balance.

You must have the right amount of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and other phytochemicals.

I eventually see terpenes being listed on other products such as wine, coffee, tea, beer, and chocolate as well.
