Not A Bad Monday

Not a bad Monday. I know you probably don’t hear that too often, but I did. I went into SF as ASA’s community liaison. Getting the word out about the Stakeholder Meeting at 847 Howard St., 7pm this Friday. I made it around to half a dozen medical cannabis dispensaries today, with plans to do more rounds on Wednesday.

ASA’s Executive Director Steph Sherer and California Director Don Duncan are traveling the state holding stakeholder meetings with key constituencies in critical areas. These meetings include a series of trainings on everything from strategic planning to lobbying and media messaging, as well as discussion of how to not just pass federal, state, and local legislation that creates safe and legal access but also implement, strengthen, and protect those laws so they meet the needs of patients.

In between I had some Owls Howl espresso from Sightglass Coffee Bar & Roastery in SOMA San Francisco, a serious highlight of my day. Afterwards I got a drink and a bite to eat at San Francisco's only muppet-themed bar, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem 2323 Mission St at 19th. They serve pub-style food, such as fried chicken with a jelly doughnut, and a burger garnished with ghost pepper—the world's hottest. As well as there's a strong whiskey breeze blowing here!

Oh yeah; I almost forgot. I finished of the night with Hooker's SeaSalted Dark Chocolate Covered Caramels. They are amazingly-tasty sweet treats!

So you see, all in all, it was not a bad Monday.
