Weekend Adventure on the Lake

This weekend we rented a houseboat and a whole bunch of us went out to Lake Shasta. Friday night before our weekend adventure on the lake began, we attended a sold out San Francisco Giants Game. Only my second MLB game ever and my wife’s first. We had a wonderful time, watching the game, drinking beer and eating garlic fries.

Saturday morning we drove the four hours to get to Lake Shasta. We spent the next three days jamming on the lake, having a blast. Taking turns going down the water slide off the back of the boat, swimming around, or floating on rafts. Lounging in the hot tub, eating barbeque, checking out caverns, and chasing each other around with water guns; it was so much fun!!!

We didn’t want to leave. Lake Shasta is so beautiful. It reminded us of a lake we kayaked in Alaska, except the mountains weren’t as high and the peaks were not covered in snow. But alas, we had to get back to the daily grind. I can’t wait till I find myself in the midst of my next adventure. Till then...
