Tony's Take - Midterm Election Results

ELECTION RESULTS - Very happy to see Dems took the House. Dissapointed to hear Prop 10, the state rent control measure failed, but at least Prop C which will provide homeless services in SF passed. Unfortunately Prop D in SF passed adding more taxes to cannabis, but at least Oakland passed Measure V which will lower cannabis taxes. Michigan just legalized recreational marijuana, while voters in Utah and Missouri decided to legalize medical marijuana. And probably best results of all Pete Sessions lost his seat to a Democrat. This means he will no longer be chairman of the House Rules Committee, and hopefully helpful cannabis legislation will begin to pass out of that committee and we will see an end to federal prohibition at last.
