Biden pardons thousands for 'simple possession' of marijuana

Biden, in a statement, said the move reflects his position that “no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana.”

Very nice gesture, but ultimately Congress needs to pass comprehensive federal legislation... 

"No one is currently in federal prison solely for “simple possession” of the drug, but the pardon could help thousands overcome obstacles to renting a home or finding a job." And ultimately Congress needs to pass comprehensive federal legislation.

It's ok to celebrate small victories but still long road ahead. Will be attending ASA Conference and Lobby Day in December asaunity.org I remain hopeful, and I appreciate you.

In regards to reschedule, deschedule all the way best, but 3 or 4 better than what we got. Schedule 2 scares me. But we also need comprehensive federal legislation passed by Congress to protect legacy equity medical and state programs to prevent from further monopolization.
